I’m always looking for the next adventure, but I’ll be honest…I’m not usually too adventurous when it comes to camping. Until now! I’m probably a little behind here (what’s new!) but I recently discovered the “glamping” phenomenon and I’m hooked! Of course, you know I’m all about the beach so what could be better than glamping on the beach? I’ve been deep in research about beach glamping destinations so I thought I’d share some of my finds with you all. Here are 7 beach glamping destinations where you can get up and personal with nature while still maintaining some creature comforts:
.Anegada Beach Club, British Virgin Islands: This is the place that started my obsession with glamping. Located on the remote island of Anegada in the British Virgin Islands, this little slice of paradise is home to five beachfront luxury tents that will blow your mind. You can read all about my experience glamping at the Anegada Beach Club here and read reviews and check rates here.
.Camp Olowalu, Maui: This hidden gem on Maui will make you forget all about the hustle and bustle of Ka’anapali Beach just a few miles away. You’ll feel like you’re back in summer camp with their collection of super affordable tents and cabins right on the beach. Sure, you’ve got world class snorkeling right out your front door (or, er, tent flap) but you’ve also got Leoda’s Pie Shop right across the street. Enough said. You can read reviews and check rates here.

.Autocamp, Santa Barbara: If you’ve ever dreamed of living in an adorable little vintage Airstream trailer (oh, that’s just me?) then this place is going to be a dream come true. Literally. Located super close to the center of town, this adorable little spot has the CUTEST vintage trailers that are all decked out with modern conveniences. Be THAT girl and cruise on down to the beach on your bike. Go on, you know you want to. They also have a location in Russian River. Check here for rates and reviews.

.Big Sur Getaway, Big Sur: It doesn’t get much better than Big Sur, California. Unless you’re camping there in a vintage Airstream of course. Located among the giant redwood trees and super close to beautiful Pfeiffer Beach, this place is pretty much paradise. There are amazing views, gorgeous sunsets, and plenty of hiking trails nearby. They even have a couple of pet friendly trailers! Check here for rates and reviews.

.Virgin Islands Campground, St. Thomas: Located on Water Island, just a short ferry ride away from St. Thomas, Virgin Islands Campgrounds has got to be one of the pretties spots in the US Virgin Islands. These eco friendly tent/cottages offer some creature comforts (electricity, beds with linens, etc.) while still allowing you to be right in the middle of nature. Check here for rates and reviews.

.Silver Bullet Retreats, Florida: If you’re looking for an Airstream glamping experience on the East coast, Silver Bullet Retreats looks pretty sweet! It’s not a specific resort, but rather they will set up your vintage trailer (rented by the night or the week) at the Central Florida campground of your choice. As of this posting, it looks like they may be out of the camping rental biz, but they’re still ones to keep your eye one. You can learn more here.
.Papaya Playa Project, Tulum: Tulum seems to be a hot bed for glamping spots but one of my favorites is the Papaya Playa Project. This ocean front resort is a collection of cabanas and casitas that are swanky! Papaya Playa Project is the “ultimate pop up camp” and mixes an incredible aesthetic with a back to basics natural feel. The resort has a lovely restaurant, 2-story bar, and pool. Check here for rates and reviews.
